Itay Epshtain represented Magen David Adom (the RC/RC National Society) at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Course on International Disaster Law, held in Sanremo, Italy.
The Course provides an opportunity to analyze one of today’s most important legal challenges: the prevention and management of disasters. It covers key legal issues in disaster management; Legal and operational challenges in relief operations; Human rights protection, and other cross-cutting themes in disaster settings such as protection of cultural property and migration issues; International Disaster Law and pandemics; Disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation law; and regional approaches to disaster law.
